The "Average" human being's "Perception-Reaction Time" is 1.5 seconds, that is the time it takes to process the threat .(Punch / Strike) and respond effectively to neutralize or defend against it. A person's reaction will be in one of two ways; "Automated Response" (based on preemptive training) or "Controlled Response" (uncertainty, lack of training, surprise), the latter taking considerably more time to execute.......A Key component to developing "Automated Response" is Consistent Repetitive Training in "Perpetual Motion" with Appropriate Sequences of Patterned Behavior - Speeds an Athlete's "Perception-Reaction Time" due in part to Developing his / her appropriate "Automated Response" and Enhancing Situational Awareness and ability to Predict & React to Stimuli (Attack / Punch / Strike)...Acolade's to Roger Mayweather, Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Jeff Mayweather for there unique insight and progressive development of boxing training techniques, teaching through the use of padwork / mittwork.
