Coach Rick: Boxing Padwork Demonstration: Floyd Mayweather Sr / Roger Ma...

Perception is Everyone's Reality, Speed is Relative, Talent Subjective, Consistent Padwork Training in "Perpetual Motion" develops Reflex Action, Agility, Dexterity, Endurance, Stamina & Coordination thereby giving the "Proficient" student the ability to Alter what the "Perceptive Eye" of his opponent see's, and what the "Eye's See, the Mind Believes",,Thus a Fighter can appear completely relaxed, faster and more competent then he or she may actually be, All through the execution of technique with smoothness of motion, where the perception of Timing, Range & Speed can be Altered or distorted, Hence my training motto "Smooth is Fast, Fast is Smooth"...
The Mayweather's Influence on the Sport of Boxing, the methodology in there Amazing Padwork has changed the way we as coaches train or fighters and other fitness clients. Floyd Mayweather Sr., Roger Mayweather and Jeff Mayweather's pad-work systems are Conceptual Masterpieces made into reality. The Mayweather's pad-work systems are not your everyday, traditional boxing padwork. Each one has there own unique style and methodology. Each system however, stress's working defense & countering by developing a person's rhythm, reflex action, relative hand speed, hand-eye-coordination, agility all while simultaneously building muscle memory.Every type of pad-word system follows a pattern, the Maweather's are no different in that aspect, but the "Marked difference with Roger Mayweather's padwork is that the patterns are conducted in non stop "perpetual motion", where as Floyd Sr and Jeff Mayweather Conduct Breaks in there systems, stress explosive speed in combinations and apply the Double and Triple Jab outs at the end of each set. There training is not done to "look good for the cameras" but to build on the aforementioned skills a fighter needs to be successful in the square circle and while being relatively safe in the ring.... The Health and Well Being of the Fighter should Always be of upmost importance to a Trainer..
